Commitment to Confidentiality
Confidentiality is the foundation of effective counselling. At The Bridge Counselling, everything you share, whether spoken in session, submitted through a form, or communicated in writing, is handled with discretion and stored securely. Access to client records is strictly limited, and all administrative processes are designed to protect sensitive information.
Professional confidentiality is a core ethical obligation. Sharon Dhillon is a registered practitioner who adheres to recognised counselling standards in Singapore. No information is shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is a serious and credible risk of harm to you or another person.
Sessions are held in a private setting, whether in person at the Orchard Road clinic or online via secure video. The boundaries of confidentiality, including its limits, are explained clearly at the start of the therapeutic relationship so you are fully informed from the outset.
Policies and procedures are reviewed regularly to ensure ongoing compliance with ethical obligations and applicable data protection legislation in Singapore.
Your story belongs to you. It is held with discretion, professionalism, and care.
